Maggie Gliksten will run a two day intensive workshop in Cork.  This will be a multi hands experience for the clients.  It is a valuable experience for the clients and for therapists.  All are welcome to participate

CST I is a prerequisit.

Water work will also be availale to clients who are interested and for those students who have done water training it is a great opportnity to put into practice what they have learned.

About SER11

SomatoEmotional Release II takes you well beyond the manual and verbal skills taught in SomatoEmotional Release I by incorporating more advance imagery and dialoguing methods. SER II emphasises wholeness and self-healing. You’ll begin by reviewing the techniques you studied in CranioSacral Therapy II for releasing the throat and hard palate-you’ll use methods to encourage the expression and release of suppressed emotion.

CranioSacral Therapy for Paediatrics II Course Description
This workshop expands upon the special issues that surround the applications of CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release as they pertain to newborns, infants and children. More details about CranioSacral Therapy for Paediatrics II »

Course Highlights:

• Explore in more depth and detail the topics introduced in the first level CSP class
• Learn how treating the entire family and its dynamics powerfully impacts the healing process and health of the child
• Practice working with infants and children in a supervised environment
• Understand and apply important knowledge of specific brain anatomy/physiology to fine-tune the CST treatments
• Apply an understanding of the gestentional process to facilitate cellular change within the infant/child who has experienced difficulty in their embryological, fetal development
• Gain more insight into the etiology of some childhood ailments and disorders
• Increase creative dialoguing and imagery skills in the application of SER to pediatrics by focusing on “cell talk”
• Learn the application of five new treatment techniques for infants and children

Repeat Advanced workshop for  550 euro (2 places only)

ADV is especially designed to provide an in-depth experience for the serious CranioSacral Therapy practitioner. Class is limited to 10 participants.

Course outline

• Participate in multiple-hands sessions.
• Benefit from one-on-one instructor-to-participant skill evaluation.
• Refine technique applications and further develop palpatory capabilities.
• Participate in an in-depth mind/body integration study using the craniosacral system as   the core vehicle.

This 5 day course starts on Thursday morning at 9.am. You may arrive on Wednesday evening at 7.00pm. It will finish on Monday at about 2.00pm. For the 5 days you will work, eat and sleep in the centre. Bring warm comfortable clothes as the days can be long and the evenings cool.

The workshop charge is 1190 euro (except for repeat students who may avail of our special repeat discount).

The charge for all meals and accommodation for the 5 days is €400. You should send this on to Upledger Institute Ireland. Accommodation is a twin rooms.

Dr Chas Perry, teacher of SER11, Advanced 1/11 and clinical applications for the Upledger Institute, and Kat Cramblet will be coming to facilitate their third Intensive Programme in craniosacral therapy in Ireland.

Client Focused Therapeutic Environment

Based on the programs held at the Upledger Institute USA this is an opportunity for your clients to immerse themselves in a client focused therapeutic environment to work at the deepest level with a pool of highly skilled therapists from the world over. There are some 6-10 clients with 2-3 therapists working on them at a time. As their therapist it is an opportunity to participate in an experience that will enrich you beyond words. The integrity of the program is based on the integrity of all participants in our ability to work together with focus on the clients’ goals and needs.

Programme Schedule

Cost of the programme is €2,200.00 for 5 days. A day rate of €500.00 is available with a discount for therapists at €450.00. The schedule is 9.00 to 15.30 with an hour for lunch. We start with a therapy meeting for clients and therapists each the morning. Water work and possibly equine facilitated therapy will be extra options for the clients. Now is the time to line up clients and have them fund raise if necessary.

Update from Upledger International

As many of you already know Dr John Upledger has suffered some ill health in the past year. His treatment is going well and is being helped along by the support of his son John Matthew.

John Matthew is back as managing partner of the Institute with Dawn Langnes International Director. We received this letter from John Matthew and Dawn at the Upledger Institute Inc;

Hello and a very Happy New Year from The Upledger Institute in Florida.

First of all we want to thank Mary and Ger for the tremendous work they are doing through the Upledger Institute Ireland.  Their commitment to CranioSacral Therapy and all of you is amazing, and we are so pleased to be working with them.

As with most companies, UI (Florida) has seen a lot of change over the past few years.  Some of it has been good, and some of it, not so good.  Fortunately we are past the ‘not so good’, as John Matthew Upledger has returned as the managing partner and driving force for UI.  Also, some of the past management team that left UI and developed the Barral Institute (BI) is also back working with UI (and still also with BI).  I know of no greater management team than the one we have in place that has the experience, commitment and heart to continue the vision of both Dr. John Upledger (UI) and Jean-Pierre Barral (BI).
