CST Paediatrics Module I (CSPI)

The CSPI module includes the following:

Workshop: 32 Hours
Home Study
96 Hours
Case Studies
10 case studies (10 hours approx) This may vary as some case studies may need some extra time. (minimum 4 different people)
Study Groups/Precepting
20 Hours
Clinical Supervision
2 Hours

You are required to attend Paediatrics I and II if you wish treat children under the age of 4 years. SER I module is a prerequisite for this course.

CranioSacral Therapy for Paediatrics

Programme Highlights

1. Importance of feeling safe for child and parents, gaining trust for child and parents

2. Hendrix communication model – dialog-interface training

3. The child as self-directed inc. two practical exercises

4. Psychological, emotional human development comparison chart

5. Motor development stages

6. Adaptations of infant/child treatment – including modifying the environment and differences in skull anatomy

7. Newborn and infant protocol

8. Evaluation for children

9. Working with family – child’s eco-system

10. SER with infants and children: validating individual experiences

11. Completion of biological process inc. birth mechanics

12. The neurology behind behaviour – gaining trust and co-operation – Triune Brain and Reflexes

13. Sensory Integration Dysfunction inc. experiential exercises

14. Adaptations to environment for SID children

15. Practical sessions and feedback sessions afterwards with TAs

16. Common problems/disorders from a CST perspective

17. Genetic anomalies and chromosomal defects

18. Learning difficulties

19. Making a collaborative team

Prerequisite: SomatoEmotion Release Module I fully completed.
