The IACST is dedicated to creating a strong CST community in Ireland.Our aim is to promote high standards of CST training and practise.
IACST is the professional association representing Craniosacral therapists in Ireland . It is a member of FICTA (Federation of Irish Complementary Therapy Associations) whose main objective is to “promote the formal recognition in Ireland of all complementary therapies.” IACST exists to represent your professional interests.

* Anatomy & Physiology & Pathology and Professional Standards and Procedures can be taken over the period of your training, with a school of your choice. Lecturers will not be Upledger Lecturers but must be approved by the UPLEDGER INSTITUTE IRELAND
PLEASE NOTE:
All practitioners of CST must be covered by insurance. This can be done through the IACST which offers a discount rate for group insurance. For your own protection it is important to know that it is a LEGAL requirement when working with a child under the age of 16 years, that a PARENT or GUARDIAN be present at ALL times
GRANDPARENTING CLAUSE
From August 1st 2005 , the ‘new’ syllabus applies for all training students.
Those in active practice for 5 years or more who have reached Advanced I level, will not be required to retake any Upledger course training already completed. Those mentioned practitoners will be required, in certain cases, to complete approved bridging course e.g. a relevant module such as Anatomy Physiology and Pathology and module on Professional Practice and Procedures.
There is a period of 2 years from May 16 th 2006 when upgrading as appropriate will be completed (refer to IASCT).
On-going continuous professional development (CPD) is a requirement for all practitioners.
CPD is built into the Upledger training programme e.g. Training Assistant (T/A) on CST I, CST II etc (refer to UI Ireland).
Approved external CPD training is also acceptable (refer to IACST)
