Upledger News Update – January 2010

January 26, 2010

A very Happy New Year to each and every one of you. Many thanks for your cards and warm wishes over the Christmas season. It’s a new year and our hopes are great for the Institute and CranioSacral Therapy in Ireland. We have our sights set on HETAC recognition and are continuing to get the structures in place to meet requirements.

Update from Upledger International

As many of you already know Dr John Upledger has suffered some ill health in the past year. His treatment is going well and is being helped along by the support of his son John Matthew.

John Matthew is back as managing partner of the Institute with Dawn Langnes International Director. We received this letter from John Matthew and Dawn at the Upledger Institute Inc;

Hello and a very Happy New Year from The Upledger Institute in Florida.

First of all we want to thank Mary and Ger for the tremendous work they are doing through the Upledger Institute Ireland.  Their commitment to CranioSacral Therapy and all of you is amazing, and we are so pleased to be working with them.

As with most companies, UI (Florida) has seen a lot of change over the past few years.  Some of it has been good, and some of it, not so good.  Fortunately we are past the ‘not so good’, as John Matthew Upledger has returned as the managing partner and driving force for UI.  Also, some of the past management team that left UI and developed the Barral Institute (BI) is also back working with UI (and still also with BI).  I know of no greater management team than the one we have in place that has the experience, commitment and heart to continue the vision of both Dr. John Upledger (UI) and Jean-Pierre Barral (BI).

We thank you for your interest in CranioSacral Therapy and your commitment to excellence for your patients.  Best wishes!

Dawn Langnes
Director of International Development
